The heart of ALIVE is to introduce and connect people to God. We believe this is achieved not only through our words but also our actions. That is why we are working locally, nationally and internationally to see God’s kindness and compassion extend to those in the greatest need.
Each and every week we serve hundreds of people in our local communities, many of whom are marginalised and socially disadvantaged. We are committed to recognising the needs of, and working with families and individuals. This looks different in each community but extends to local Food Bank centres, CAP centres, parish nursing, furniture/clothing provision and community engagement. At ALIVE our mandate is to see the communities we live in transformed and restored by the power of God; we call this work Restore.
Nationally we partner with Betel of Britain in seeing homeless and long-term unemployed people restore to healthy, independent lifestyles.
Betel of Britain is a group of caring, not-for-profit Christian communities in the heart of the UK. They train men and women in a wide range of life and employment skills, enabling them to rebuild a strong work ethic. All of their residences are drug- and alcohol-free and totally free of charge. They offer the opportunity of restoration to all persons who seek their help.
Internationally we partner with Tearfund, working with established organisations in Cambodia. Their aim is to empower individuals on the edge of Cambodian society, to change their lives for the better and in turn, help to influence and change the lives of their family and friends, people in their towns and provinces, in the kingdom of Cambodia and the world.
Tearfund work in the area of healthcare and training. They also support agencies who work within the area of human trafficking and the care and development of children.
