Make a Difference is how we, as Alive Church, pray, give and go together, advancing God’s kingdom locally, nationally and internationally. Through our community mission and partnerships, we share Jesus, bring practical hope and help people and communities flourish.
As we journey through Ephesians, we’re asking God to strengthen us by his Spirit, root us in Christ’s love and do abundantly more than we could ask or imagine through our life together.
Make a Difference Sunday is 11th of October 2026. We’ll give and make our commitments together as we celebrate the stories of our partners.

A Difference
Last year’s Make a Difference offering, together with the pledged gifts received through this year, raised £152,000. Thank you to everyone who gave, prayed and served. Your participation is helping sustain mission across our communities and through our wider partnerships.
Our faith target for 2026 is £167,000 across Alive Church. We invite you to pray about how you can take part, through a one-off gift, regular monthly giving, prayer or service.
Together
Across Our Communities
Our community mission begins with prayer. We pray for our streets, listen to God and listen to our neighbours. Then we open doors and respond to what we hear.
Across Greater Lincolnshire, that response takes many forms: affordable food and practical support, cafés where people find a welcome and someone who has time to listen, toddler groups, community youth activities, and friendship groups that help people connect.

Over 4,500 people served through our community work this year.

Active partnerships with councils, the NHS, schools and charities.

These figures represent people welcomed, relationships built and practical help shared. Through our locations and partners, we’re able to reach further together.

Our Mission Partnerships
Alongside our local community work, we support partners who help others rebuild their lives,
bring Christian faith into public life and create opportunities for communities to flourish.
Hatfield Christian Church And The SMILE Project
We partner with Hatfield Christian Church in South Africa, supporting the SMILE Project in Mooiplaas. Through early-years education, food, community gardens, skills development and discipleship, the team creates opportunities for people to use their gifts and shape the future of their community.
The preschool provides education, food and a safe place for up to 67 children aged three to five. Watch the video to meet Fina and hear how this work is helping children and families flourish.
Acts Trust
Acts Trust was founded by Alive Church Lincoln in 2006 and has a vision to see Empowered People Living in Thriving Communities. Acts Trust run the Grocery, Foodbank and Life Course in Lincoln and is supported by volunteers from Lincoln North, South and Central.
Everything Network
We believe following Jesus shapes how we work and the decisions we make. The Everything Network connects and equips Christians across sectors such as government, business, education, science and the arts, helping them work together for justice and the common good.

Through these relationships, Christians contribute to issues such as knife crime, affordable housing, access to justice and awareness of human trafficking. Our partnership also supports local cultural renewal gatherings, bringing people together to explore how their faith can shape their work and communities.

Community Projects
Each Alive Location has multiple projects depending on the needs of their local community. This includes things such as women and men’s support groups, toddler groups and support for carers and those living with disabilities and additional needs.
Betel UK
Betel supports men, women and families affected by addiction and homelessness. Through Christian community, work, wellbeing and worship, people find support to rebuild their lives, restore relationships and discover renewed hope and purpose.

Ground Level Network
Ground Level is a movement of churches and our vision is advancing the Kingdom of God everywhere. We believe that through relationship, unity and partnership we can see the Kingdom of God advance in our world.
We love and believe in the local church and exist as a family of churches to empower, support, strengthen and care for the church, its leaders and its ministries. We are a prophetic voice characterised by our strong commitment to work of the Spirit and the Word of God. Make a Difference supports both our shared partnerships and the community mission of each Alive location.
Last year, our locations contributed to a combined £20,000 pot for wider mission. It was distributed as follows:
Where Your
Giving Goes
This year, we hope to distribute our shared mission funding in a similar way. Giving above each location’s contribution to the shared pot stays with that location to support the local initiatives it is developing. Last year, the three Lincoln locations also joined together to give £20,000 to Acts Trust, supporting its work to empower people and help communities thrive.

This means your giving contributes to wider mission partnerships while also resourcing mission in your local community.

Our Make a Difference prayers draw on Ephesians 3:14–21. We’re asking God to strengthen people by his Spirit, root us in Christ’s love and work through us in ways beyond what we could ask or imagine.
Use these prayer points on your own, with your family, in a life group or at a location prayer meeting. Pray for our church’s shared mission, Betel UK, the Everything Network and Hatfield Christian Church and the SMILE Project.

Give To
Make a Difference
Make a Difference is an opportunity to give above our regular weekly tithe to Alive Church. Please take time to pray and consider a gift or monthly commitment that is appropriate for your circumstances.
You can give on Sunday 11 October, or during the weeks following.. You can also pledge to support this mission through regular monthly giving throughout the year.

This should be your first step in becoming involved in the Make A Difference offering.
​2: Make your commitment to the Make a Difference Offering.
On Sunday 11th October 2026 you will have the opportunity to make your commitment during any of our services, by completing the Make A Difference giving card. There will also be opportunities to give to the offering for a couple of weeks following the Make A Difference Sunday. Whilst we cannot all give the same amount, we can all give. This way everyone can play their part.

You can make your commitment using the Make a Difference giving card at your location. Completing a card does not set up a standing order; you will still need to arrange that through your bank.

Already Giving Monthly
